Equipment

The technology used in a plastics factory is very varied, depending on the material with which it works. In the case of Maxipet, we mainly use two resins, PET and HDPE, and we manufacture our containers using two techniques; one is injection molding in which, thanks to the help of an iron mold, the shape will be obtained, first the pellets of the material are heated until obtaining a liquid form and it is injected into the mold cavity to give it this shape once cools and hardens.

On the other hand, there is the extrusion-blow molding technique, a mold is also required, with the difference that a preform, which is a kind of tube of the material with which it is going to work, is placed in the mouth of the mold to be softened and blown until it touches the limit of the mold so that it can acquire that shape. Subsequently, they go through a cooling process until the necessary hardness is achieved.
